Can't load into jellyfin -Try clicking CTRL + F5 if that works you can clear your browser cookies to fix it permanently.


Android TV/Fire TV

Setup

Launch the Jellyfin App on Fire TV

  1. Turn on your Fire TV device.
  2. Navigate to Apps from the Fire TV menu.
  3. Find and open the Jellyfin app.

Initial Setup of the Jellyfin App

  1. Upon launching the Jellyfin app, you should see a welcome screen.
  2. Select Add Server to proceed.

Enter the Server URL

  1. In the Server Address field, enter jfapp.xyz.
  2. Click Next or Continue after entering the server URL.

Log in to Your Account

  1. You should now see the Jellyfin Login screen.
  2. Enter your Jellyfin username and password.
  3. Select Login to connect to your Jellyfin server.

Verify Connectivity and Start Streaming

  1. Once logged in, you’ll see your media library.
  2. Browse through your media, select a title, and start streaming!

Common Issues


Green/Purple Artifacts on video

Hardware decoding works for 97 percent of users and allows for greatly reduced CPU usage. If it does not work for you, follow these instructions to disable it:

Click the user icon in the top right corner. (It is the last icon.) Click "Client Settings". Under the "video" category, for "hardwareDecoding", select "decode.disabled". This should eliminate video decoding glitches and unwanted green/purple colors. Note that it can increase CPU usage by up to 4 times the original usage level.
